In Florida, 50 cents a day for full service is simply unbelievable! This is no economy teeny-wheeny plan, it's the real thing!
Your own private line - stay connected 24 hours a day, and TropicNet pays the $30 per month business phone line charge.
Designed for those that have telnet access to the Internet, but lack full services (i.e., a home page, uncensored news feed, private e-mail, UNIX shell access, full set of commands and utilities, disk storage space, etc.).
You may have seen telnet-only for less elsewhere, but usually you don't get as much either...
Example: Your own private line - 24hrs/day. No installation charge beyond telco setup fee if client is self-sufficient, providing the connection, equipment and management.
If you're setting a business web page you will want to get your own domain name. For example if your business is called Tropic Pawn Shop then we could set up a domain name server for you with a name of your choosing such as www.TropicPalm.com) provided that the name is not in use by anyone else). The cost of this service is $200.00 which includes the InterNIC registration fee, and $50 a month thereafter.
For advanced commercial users we offer FTP and Web services. Autoresponder e-mail robot. Main company account and five other mailboxes. Yearly contract at $1200.00/year.
*) Custom arrangements, 56k leased line, dedicated 64k ISDN, dedicated 128k ISDN, and higher bandwidth up to T1 possible, describe your needs.
All accounts include a home directory with 10MB of disk storage and a www accessible free homepage (to be custom developed by the user, simple template only provided). Independent contractors are available to help set up your PC.
Hovever, unlimited access is not equivalent to unlimited usage of system resources. At this time, TropicNet does not enforce a time usage limit on dial-up accounts, however it reserves the right to impose such a limit should individual dial-up resources usage hog the system. We expect dial-up users to voluntarily limit their connect time so as not to exceed 120 hours/month, or about 4 hours per day on average (we have to remind our subscribers that a Ma' Bell phone line costs $30 per month, they are paying $15, and we are not the Phone Company :-).
